Tudor Place Historic House & Garden offers two hundred years of history to explore. Here, you can hear stories of six generations of descendents of Martha Washington, as well as the enslaved and free people who lived and worked at this now National Historic Landmark.

Tudor Place is a beautiful model of Federal-period architecture within nation’s capital and sits on 5 ½ acres in the heart of Georgetown. Within the Historic House you can find over 18,000 decorative objects, and one of the highlights is the largest Washington Collection outside of Mount Vernon! How amazing is that!
For your time at the Tudor Place, you have to register in advance for tour tickets as you can only explore the home through guided tour. If you want to see the garden, this is through self-guided means so you can take your time and enjoy the beauty of nature at your own pace!
Think Tudor Place is just for adults? Think again! Kids can enjoy history through their historic artifact scavenger hunt which is available for children to do during the tour. Don't miss picking up a garden adventure map for kids (of all ages) too. Here, you can just go along at your own pace and find all the hidden treasures in plain sight!
