“Step Into A Story” is the enchanting moto of Utah’s Treehouse Children's Museum, and it summarizes exactly what the children will experience during their visit. This magical museum, run since 1992, invites families to physically step into the storybook world through fun, colorful and exciting interactive exhibits and programs. These are specially designed to promote and develop the practice of childrens literacy and reading skills - a vital part of growing up!
With over 26,000 sq ft of unique and engaging hands-on exhibits, children will become lost of hours in this unique attraction. The newest additions to the museum include Jack’s Fairy Tale Diner, Treehouse Jupiter Train Locomotive and German House Puppet Theater. These will join exhibits such as The Big Red Barn, the One World Village, How The West Was Fun, Utah’s Color Canyon, The Oval Office, The Great American Map and the Art of the Storybook. The Treehouse Museum website has a great display of photos of all exhibits to allow you to see the attention to detail that has really gone into each and every one.
The museum holds daily events, from engaging story time sessions to captivating stage performances. They also have fun and friendly volunteers to share stories and play games with the children. These are often quite spontaneous throughout the day to keep the kids on their toes!
There is a beautiful Treehouse Art Garden for children to explore their more creative side, and an entertaining theater group - Treehouse Troupe - which presents family friendly productions during the months of November, January, and March.
