Even if you don't LOVE country music, if you visit the Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery, you sure will appreciate it! The iconic legend rightly has his own museum, and it contains the most complete collection of Hank Williams memorabilia in the world.
Why Montgomery? Well, we're so pleased you asked, and in fact Hank lived here from 1937 - 1953, so a very fitting location for an Alabama treasure.
The exhibits and memorabilia within the museum vary incredibly, spanning his life and career, from suits and boots he wore on stage, so his personal 1952 Baby Blue Cadillac in which he made his final journey in.
There's personal furniture, awards from his music, albums, and even a horse saddle! It's all pretty impressive for someone who only lived 29 years (yes, we were surprised to!)
The Hank Williams Museum has been created by lifelong fans of the singer, and it shows. There is a lot of care and attention that have gone into the exhibits. And if you weren't a country music fan when you walked in, you'll likely walk out singing all of Hank's greatest tunes!
Hank Williams was known to be the first Country Music Superstar, so why not see how he influenced the genre, and maybe the kids will be inspired to write their own country hits!
