If history is more to your liking, you might be excited to know that The Besser Museum features an 1890s Avenue of Shops, where you are transported back to the turn of the century, plus a historic village with five original structures - each over 100 years old!

There's a 1911 Alpena Flyer vehicle as well as the Alpena Motor Car Company exhibit, or you can uncover prehistoric and Native American artifacts as you learn of the peoples who called the lakes and the forests home.
