It doesn't matter if you are an experienced adventurerous family, or even a family traveling with children who haven't really explore the great outdoor before, Talkeetna River Guides offer scenic float trips that fit a broad spectrum of tastes.
If you haven't been to Alaska before, when you are there you'll realize few places in the world rival the scenic beauty of Denali (which is also known also as “the Great One” in the Tanana Athabascan dialect - fun fact!) as well as the glacier-fed river valleys of the southern slopes of the Alaska Range.
There are a number of trips that you can choose from, such as the Chulitna River Raft Tour which is a 4 hour tour, and the 2 hour Talkeetna River Natural History Float Trip
If you want to enjoy more of the area, Talokeetna River Guides offers overnight and multi-day float trips where you can get even more deep into Alaska’s wilderness.
All of these longer trips include transportation to the launch site, as well as meals, and camping equipment. Keep those eyes peeled because wildlife sightings are common on these trips! You might just see bears, moose, porcupine, wolves, eagles, and even foxes!

Talkeetna is a dead end town so they are easy to find! From the Parks Highway you will want to turn at the Talkeetna Spur Road turn off at Mile 98.
Once on the Talkeetna Spur Road you will continue straight into town, about fifteen miles, and at the one and only stop sign you will take a left onto Main Street.
They are located at 13529 Main Street, the yurt on the right hand side, and if you miss them, don’t worry since towns a dead end you’ll just turn around and try again!!

It's best to bring sneakers, hat, sunglasses, a camera, and a bottle of water. Also dress in layers to suit the weather.
Talkeetna River Guides provides raingear, boots, hats, and gloves so that you may enjoy your trip rain or shine
For a small additional fee, you can opt to have a professional photographer take pictures of you, the raft, and your guide.
