About this activity

Saddle up kids, it's time for horseback trail rides in the Rocky Mountain National Park!

Sombrero Ranches Glacier Creek is a great way for kids and families to enjoy an amazing outdoor adventure in one of the most stunning parts of the USA - and you get a fun animal adventure too!

The Glacier Creek Stable offers a number of horseback trail rides for anyone wanting to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Kids - get ready for some amazing scenery!

Known as the "Roof Of The World", the Rocky Mountain National Park stretches over 415 square miles, and horseback is the perfect way to really explore it. As you're riding, you can just imagine what the first settlers would have experienced as they rode through all those years ago.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife too - with elk, deer, bobcat and moose all calling the area home.

The seasonal rides vary from 2 hours to up to 10 hours, so whatever you want out of your family day out, there will be something for you! The 2 hour ride takes you through the Glacier Basin valley, or for kids over 6 years you can enjoy the 3 hour ride up to Emerald Mountain. It's pretty incredible!

For kids over 7 how about taking on the 5 hour ride, or for those aged 10 and up you can really explore all the way up to the Flat Top Mountain.

Feeling adventurous? Take on the 10 hour ride across the Continental Divide - for an experience you won't ever forget!

Whether you have been riding for years, or are new to horseback, the friendly staff will find the perfect horse for you, and be there every step of the way.

So grab those cameras and that love of nature, because Sombrero Ranches are ready to give you that summer adventure you won't ever forget!
