Experience 19th century working-class life in the historic Settlers House in Holland. This small family home was lived in by a number of working class families over the course of it's long and rich history. The property was build around 1867, and even survived the great fire of 1871!
Despite it's age, the property was still lived in right through to the 1990s, so just imagine all the stories it has to tell!
Today, the home has been restored to how it would have been back in 1871.
Kids, just use those imaginations when you visit - how different would life have been all those years ago? (Pretty different to what you know now, we imagine!)
A visit here is great to pair up with a visit to Cappon House just five doors away. It's a stark contrast to how families would have lived at Settlers House.
A fascinating insight into actual history, in the very place it happened, and THAT you can't get from a history book!
