What is there to do?

There are some pretty amazing places to visit when it comes to the great outdoors in Georgia, and Seminole State Park is certainly one of them!

Located in SW Georgia, this stunning state park is located on the beautiful Lake Seminole. Know much about it, kids? Well, did you know that it's actually a whopping 37,500 acre reservoir that is great for family fun?

Don't just read about it, shut down those computers and go and enjoy it for yourselves!

Once at the park, those adventurous families can enjoy boating out on the water, fishing which is always a great way to bond (and tell fun stories!), as well as birding. If you want to stay a bit longer, Seminole State Park also offers camping and cottages with excellent views of the lake, as well as quick access.

Because the park surrounds a small cove, families usually enjoy smooth water for skiing and tubing. A sand swimming beach is also provided for lake lovers.

Keep an eye out on the wildlife that is abundant throughout the park! Grab those walking shoes and head to the nature trail that leads right past gopher tortoise burrows. Do you think you can spot some? The trail also takes you through one of the largest longleaf pine forests in any Georgia state park. Pretty impressive!

If you REALLY have a keen eye, you may also see alligators, osprey, bald eagles and other wildlife. You might want to take your camera too!

We told you the great outdoors in Georgia is pretty great, so now it's your turn to go and find out for yourselves!
