It's time to explore the ocean, kids - and no, you don't have to get wet if you don't want to!
Part of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, this Sea Center is found on Stearns Wharf and gives the family a chance to explore what creatures live under the waters first hand!
Visitors of all ages can visit this amazing Sea Center with a number of interactive exhibits, and chances to actually work like scientists! It's fun AND learning all in one!
Kids can enjoy hands-on encounters with actual sea creatures, as well as experience a LIVE shark touch pool! You can come face to face with coastal sharks and rays, and even see baby sharks still in their egg cases!
Ever wanted to crawl through a 1,500 gallon tidepool tank? You can here! This gives you a chance to see ocean life from a completely different perspective.
Kids can get their hands wet as they feel the stickiness of the sea anemone tentacle, or even cradle a hermit crab in their own hands! Of course, there are trained naturalists on hand to guide them every step of the way.
From jellyfish, to octopus and everything in between, it's a way to really understand what is enjoying life underneath our waters!
The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center is an engaging and interactive marine education facility where kids can discover the FUN that is in science (and it's there!), as well as discover and learn all about the wonders of the natural world.
Oh we do like to be....under the sea!
