The hustle and bustle of San Francisco can get too busy for some, which is why we LOVE the San Francisco Botanical Garden as here you can oescape into an oasis as you surround yourselves with 8,000 plants from all over the world!
It's a nature loving families paradise!
Whether you want to just take a stroll through the grounds and take in the magical energy of nature, or if you want to learn about the various plants and gardens, this is the place for you.
Kids can surround themselves with plants from Australia, Chile, and California - they might want to see what grows in the Mediterranean, and even New Zealand! How do these plants compare to what you might find in South Africa?
You can explore palms that grow only in high elevations, and discover what grows in the clouds!
Also at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens are themed gardens. What plants grew in ancient times? Here you can find out (and it feels like you might just spot a dinosaur or two!)! Kids can play in the children's garden, or take it easy in the Moon Viewing Garden.
The Great Meadow is a fun, park like experience for the whole family, or for a heightened sensory experience the Garden of Fragrance is the place to be!
A fun, nature filled family day out in San Francisco for the whole family. There's nothing wrong with taking it easy on your family day out, and just stopping to (literally) smell the roses!
