Pinnacles National Park in California is a unique landscape, with canyon bottoms, oak woodlands and towering rocks which are brimming with life! It's a great opportunity to get outside and active with the family.
There are over 30 miles of hiking trails at the park, ranging from easy to more challenging hikes. Make sure to stay hydrated suring the hot summer months! There are also ranger programs offering throughout the year, so make sure to check out the events calendar to see what's happening before you visit.
Start your visit at the visitor centre and begin your trails from there, some are accessible to visitors in wheelchairs too. You'll get great views and there's plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
Become a junior ranger for the day too and complete activities in your special book to earn a badge! There's also junior ranger programs too.
There are two talus caves at Pinnacles: the Bear Gulch Cave is closer to the east parking areas, and the Balconies Cave is closer to the west entrance. Make sure to check the status of the caves before you visit too.
