Within the museum you'll find permanent exhibits featuring the history of the county, as well as actual artifacts and antiques from peoiple and events who helped shape the town.
In addition to the exhibits, the Pickens County Museum of Art and History also offer three separate galleries that host changing exhibitions every 8 to 12 weeks. This means you can keep going back and see something new!
These rotating exhibits cover regional artists, interspersed with varied competitions, as well as thematic exhibits and even historical perspective shows. Don't miss the museum's annual "Youth Arts Month" programming either.
After your museum experience, it's worth stopping by the Joe and Maggie Rampey Native Plant Garden. It was designed as an outdoor Natural History presentation and is actually on the museum grounds so an addition to history that kids love!
