Oracle State Park is a beautiful 4,000 acre wonder in Arizona, where it's not just beautiful nature that you can spend your next family day out in, but there's wildlife, history and adventure too!
Located in the northeastern foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains near the town of Oracle, the park itself ranges from 3,500 to 4,500 feet in elevation, and features an amazing collection of oak grassland, riparian woodland, and mesquite scrub habitats that are home to some pretty amazing wildlife too!
Kids - keep your eyes peeled, what can you spot?
If you want to enjoy some history whilst at Oracle State Park, head to the Historic Kannally Ranch House. Here, you can take a self-guided tour through the multi level Kanally family home that was built back in the 1920s.
Should you want to learn even more about the home, wait for one of the guided tours! Here, ALL your questions can be answered! These tours last for 45 minutes and start from 11am on weekends. There is so much to learn, and you can really gain a sense of what it would have been like to live in the home all those years ago!
For those families who LOVE adventure, grab those hiking boots and head out on one of the many trails. It's a great way to see even more of the park!
Oracle State Park is also an official "Dark Sky" park, meaning you get some of the most incredible views in the WORLD of the stars. Just head to the American Avenue Parking Area which remains open at night to enjoy the magic above you!
