About Northwood's Children's Museum

There is nothing more fun when you get to spend the whole day playing together as a family - and when we mean as a family - yes parents that's you too!

The Northwoods Children's Museum is a place FILLED with fun and hands-on exhibits and gadgets that are ready to be played with, and learnt from. The 24 interactive exhibits allow you to experience a whole variety of fun!

Perhaps you want to create a masterpiece in the art center? Maybe you have always dreamt of becoming a princess for a day, or a brave fireman or firewoman? Grandma's Attic is the best place for dress ups - you never know what goodies you are going to find!

Feel like you are in a bubble? You must be in the Bubble Station - where you can actually go right inside a giant bubble!

Kids can go back in history at the Pioneer Cabin, and see what it would have been like to live as an original pioneer of the country, and they can learn all about energy and how electricity works. The lights didn't grow on trees you know!

There are also rotating exhibits which change every few months, so you can always have something new to head back to on your next visit! From exhibits covering Sky and Space, to Farm Fun and cultural holiday traditions from around the world - those little enthusiastic minds won't even realize they are learning from all the fun they will be having! 

We haven't even started on the events that you can join in on, from the Father Daughter dances to the fun seasonal activities!

Get those pennies out because there is a toy store! There are fun and educational items for the kids to take home
