Art is SO much fun, whether you are admiring it, or creating it! At the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Wyoming, they love to have families visit to admire the collections, as well as inspire those creative little ones!
The Nicolaysen Art Museum collects, preserves and exhibits contemporary art from artists all around the world so families can learn from it, and find their own creative side.
The Permanent Collection at the museum has over 6,200 objects, so allow some time! Art isn't just paintings, and it's through this collection that kids can be exposed to all art forms, from sculptures, drawings, textiles, prints, and even photography.
The museum also have temporary exhibitions that feature different artists and themes, so there is always something new for you to explore when you visit next! They might feature photographers that specialize in wildlife, or local artists who have impacted the art world.
Kids in particular will love the Discovery Center, which is filled with fun, interactive and very hands-on activities for all ages. You're never too young to try being creative!
Kids can finger paint, or play with a dollhouse. They can read in the reading nook, or make a mask! With building blocks, magic sand, and even playing with clay all at the Discovery Center, it's a great place for those little ones to find that creative side and express themselves.
You never know - there might be a Picasso in the family yet!
