You didn't think when you wanted an adventure, we would send you UNDERGROUND did you? Well, that's where we're going!
Niagara Cave is one of the most fascinating and unique geological attractions in the Midwest. It's a place that was formed over millions of years, and now YOU get a chance to explore it! Water has sculpted an entire underground system, with canyon-like passageways, and it's through tours that the family can learn all about them!
The one hour tour will take you one mile underground, and you will experience fossils that are around 450 million years ago. Can you imagine what life on earth was like back then!?
The formations in the cave vary, which is what makes the tour that much more interesting. They can be delicate, and the can be HUGE! There is even an underground waterfall that you can enjoy (parents, if you want, there is a subterranean wedding chapel to get married in, or renew vows, too!)
Niagara Cave is always 48 degrees F (9C) so dress appropriately. It also never matters what the weather is - you're underground! So no excuses on those rainy days not to get out of the house!
Once you have finished your tour, you can enjoy some above the ground fun, with an 18 hole mini golf course, or spend some time panning for gemstones and fossils. Do you think you might find something 450 million years old too!
There is even a playground and a picnic area so you can really make a day of it.
A great experience to show kids how incredible nature can be, and give them a learning experience at the same time!
Niagara Caves....millions of years in the making for your family day out!
