What is there to do?

The New Orleans Jazz Museum celebrates jazz in the city where is was born, and now you can too in this fun and insightful museum!

Through dynamic interactive exhibitions, the history and depth of jazz is explored in all forms, and offers an amazing learning experience for kids.

The exhibit 300 Years of Music in New Orleans shares the story of the earliest forms of jazz, latter-day Louis Armstrong (and we all know who he is!), as well as the birth of American festival culture, just to name a few. 

There's an exhibition the evolution of the New Orleans beat, and of course an exhibit on the Old US Mint coin too! Why? Because the New Orleans Jazz Museum is located in the Old US Mint!

The museum is fittingly location at the intersection of the French Quarter and the Frenchman Street live music corridor, so after your visit you can pop straight out and hear from jazz live! 

A fascinating and musical day out for the family in one of the most festive, historic and musical cities in the entire world.

Open year round but closed Thanksgiving Day, Acadian Day, Christmas Day & New Years Day
