The National Museum of Forest Service History is home to a collection of over 50,000 documents, photographs, artifacts, and memoriabilia all relating to the fascinating history and culture of the Forest Service!
This massive archive is also available online for anyone to use, so whether you are a researcher, student, historian, or family filled with inquisitive minds, there is much to be explored!!
Currently, the National Museum of Forest Service History is also building a new centre in Missoula, that will carry out the Forest Service's mission, and continue their goal for national conservation education, as well as historical preservation.!
The NMFSM as well as the new center will encourage all who visit to explore the cultural, ecological, economic, political, and social history of the lands as well as those people who have defined the nation and continuously given meaning to the term conservation.
