You've all heard of National Geographic, so why not visit the National Geographic Museum in Washington DC? The exhibitions at this iconic museum showcase bold people and transformative ideas and where past and current expeditions, scientific research and adventures come to life!
Throughout the museum you'll find a range of permanent and changing exhibits, plus a host of interactive displays that reflect the richness and diversity of our planet.
You can learn all about how National Geographic got started, and hear from scientists and adventurers about where they have been, and how much further they plan to go. You can even see historic artifacts like the camera Robert Peary used at the North Pole, and post recovered from a shipwreck, as well as stories discovered at Titanic!

The changing exhibits cover a range of fascinating topics - one month you might be learning the secrets of Ancient Egypt, and the next you might be traversing the Galapagos Islands, seeing the wildlife!
The National Geographic Museum also host a number of events, which take you all around the world (without having to leave DC!) These need to be booked, but can see you exploring volcanoes, learning about ocean life through a VR experience, or hearing stories of African wildlife, and the dangers confronting them.
