The Museum of the City of New York features both permanent galleries and exhibitions, as well as visiting collections and shows, each exploring and showcasing a tremendous quantity of perspectives of the city and it's inhabitants.
The whole family can take a trip back through the history books as you explore nearly 205,000 objects from the collection, that all put a little piece of New York's historic puzzle together for you.
You can learn about mid-20th century women's garments and fashions, to Broadway productions that have made their mark on the city. Kids can explore the significance of the 1939 World's Fair, as well as learn all about notable people that called New York their home, including director Stanley Kubrick.
The museum also features exhibits on all of the five boroughs, so you can really gain an understanding of the various personalities with the city that never sleeps.
There are often drop in creative workshops available and many other features to enrich the trip for smaller children.
