About this activity

Look at that whale breaching right out of the ocean!  Wait...there are sea lions over there!

Seeing wildlife in their natural habitats is one of the greatest experiences a child can have, and Major Marine Tours (MMT) offer two different day cruises from Whittier in the stunning Alaska.

There is the 5.25 hour Surprise Glacier Cruise where you sail past a working salmon hatchery, or the 4.5 hour Blackstone Glacier Cruise where you can see the magnificent glaciers in real life.

Do you know what a glacier is?  If you don't - make sure to ask one of the friendly staff on the cruise!  They can tell you anything you need to know about what you are experiencing.

Tours are hosted by forest rangers and very experienced crew members.  The park rangers will provide interactive and engaging onboard experiences on board great for kids of all ages to learn - and they even receive a "Junior Ranger" certificate for participating!  Now you're a true ranger!

All tours 4 hours and longer have an extra special treat with an Alaskan salmon and prime rib buffet prepared with on the boat!

You are guaranteed a seat with reserved seating so now rushing to get the best view, and enjoy the wonders of nature from your snug heated cabin.  You will never lose your seat so move about as much as you like!

Don't forget your camera!
