Batter up! The Louisville Slugger has been an iconic part of Major League Baseball since 1884, when it was put in the hands of some of the greatest players that ever stepped into that diamond.
The Louisville Slugger Museum is a tribute to that infamous bat, those behind it, and a loot at how the sport of baseball has changed between then and now.
There are some pretty fascinating and fun exhibits that you will encounter as you make your way around the museum. The Grand Slam Gallery is where you can actually HOLD some of the Louisville Slugger bats that were used in some pretty famous games - including Mickey Mantle, David Ortiz and Johnny Bench.
You can even see THE Slugger that the very famous Babe Ruth carved notches in for every home run he his - and this was during his record breaking 60 home run season in 1927, so there are a lot of notches!
Want to know how a Louisville Slugger is actually made? The Louisville Slugger Museum is the place to find out! You can take the world famous factory tour where the bats have been crafted for over 120 years! You will also get a fun FREE mini slugger at the end of it!
There is a gallery where you can mingle with incredibly lifelike sculptures of some of the greatest players of the last century, and you can check out the signature wall where THOUSANDS of signatures have been burned into a bat - which names can you recognize!?
Don’t miss the Walk Of Fame out on the historic Main Street where you can see everyone who has been inducted, and check out their bronze statues. This very cool art project takes the museum outside the walls and onto the sidewalks!
Batter up - it’s time to experience the Louisville Slugger Museum with the whole family!
