Nestled away in south-central Kentucky sits a little piece of Australia. This family attraction specializes in interactive and educational family fun, so you can discover hands-on family adventures PLUS meet some adorable creatures!!
Features At Kentucky Down Under include the Adventure Zoo AND Mammoth Onyx Cave. Let's start with the zoo, shall we?
Adventure Zoo is home to a number of unique animals, as well as animals that you might see every day.
Kids can meet the white bison, or see real life American Alligators. Have you ever heard of the coatimundis? Now is your chance to meet one! There are gray wolves, curious barred owls, and yes, there is such a thing as fainting goats!
From pythons, foxs, and let's not forget those Aussie animals that we know and love, including those Aussie dingoes, laughing kookaburras, cockatiels, parrots and of course, kangaroos, Kentucky Down Under is a WILD day out, with a host of animals waiting to say hi!
Also included in your Kentucky Down Under experience, is a literal trip down under!
Mammoth Onyx Cave was discovered all the way back in 1799, and was opened to the public in 1922. Kids will love to explore the incredible formations, from stalactites to stalagmites, and more incredibly beautiful formations created by water.
Tours of the tour are schedule throughout the day, and last around 30 minutes.
Animals, caves, and a host of down under fun, and you don't even need to leave Kentucky!
