Do you ever dream of being a pilot? Soaring through the clouds as if you were a bird!?
Planes have always been a fascination to us, and at the Iowa Aviation Museum you can see the journey of the aircraft, from the first flight recorded in Iowa in 1910, to present day. They weren't always these fancy jumbo jets we use today!
You can wonder around and get up close to their beautiful collections of vintage aircraft - and see in detail how they changed over the years and what improvements were made. It is also home to the Iowa Hall Of Fame for those local states men and women who made a significant contribution to the history of aviation.
There is a well laid out showroom which holds memorabilia from aviators and aircraft during the Golden Age, and tells of their fascinating and impressive stories from their days. Do you think you would have what it takes to do what they did?
If you love the museum so much that you would keep coming back, look into the membership as it will give you great discounts. Keep an eye on fun events too that occur throughout the year!
