Florida has some AMAZING wildlife, so why not head to a place where you can meet and greet all those wonderful species? We're talking about Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park!

This wildlife filled family day out is a chance for kids to meet native Florida wildlife face to face.

There are a number of experiences that the family can enjoy, and it's all included in your admission cost!

The Wildlife Walk is the perfect way to spot some favorites. These elevated boardwalks are accessible for all, and gives kids a chance to see some natural habitats and the creatures that live there.

Love the ocean? Check out the Fish Bowl underwater observatory that floats in the main spring. Here, you can see some amazing fish and even manatees!

Don't miss the Manatee programs that are offered daily, where kids can learn all about these amazing creatures. There are also additional programs within the park, including the alligator/hippo program. Yes, there is a hippo pool!

Birding is another popular experience at Homosassa Springs. There is a birding trail that runs from the Visitor Center parking area along the tram rod and loops through the park. 

And don't forget, included in your admission is a guided boat tour along Pepper Creek from the Visitor Center to the Wildlife Park. Your Ranger will introduce you to the area and identify wildlife and points of interest along the way.

Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park FAQ’s

The Wildside Cafe is located at the park's West Entrance offering indoor and outdoor dining areas. The hours of operation are 9am to 5.30pm.

The Alligator/Hippo program occurs 12;30pm daily, the Wildlife Encounter programs offered at 10:30am and 2:30pm daily. Manatee programs are 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm daily

The Park has two Gift Shops: The State of Elegance is in the park's Visitor Center and offers unique gifts, clothing, books, etc. on a Florida nature theme. The Nest of Treasures offers a variety of gifts and clothing for kids.

A picnic area is located in the Garden of the Springs so why not take your own lunch to enjoy! Make sure you take water

The park is accessible with accessible parking, elevators, ramps and accessible boat tours too
