Kids, we know you LOVE the history books, but do you know one thing that's better then reading about history?
Living it!
Historic Westville is a living history museum which will transport you back to a west Georgia village, how it was in 1850 (warning kids, it might be slightly different to what you are used to today!)
Historic Westville was created so that families just like yours can experience a community in which your ancestors lived in the middle of the nineteenth century.
As you explore, you'll be amazed at the 30 plus Westville has over 30 authentically furnished pre-Civil War buildings that will really make you feel you are living over 150 years ago, including homes, general stores, churches, a courthouse and even a school.
Kids can get those imaginations flowing as they roam around the Pioneer Village, and learn exactly what the Antebellum Period was. They can see a blacksmith in action, as well as a print shop, and even see who 19th century boots were made!
Don't miss talking to the "townspeople" who are all in 1850s dress - you can talk with them about life in the old days and ask all the questions you want!
What's also great about Historic Westville, is that regular admission includes a character guided tour, so you really can just absorb everything that's around you, and build that complete picture of what life would have been like in another century.
Kids, are you ready to step back in time over 150 years, and experience Georgia life from a whole different perspective?
Historic Westville is waiting for YOU!
