The stunning Meier, porcelain-enameled building is the ideal setting for the High Museum of Art's collection of over 12,000 pieces of art. If you are ready to be inspired, this place is for you!
When you get inside, you can explore the four interior levels, featuring galleries that move from 18th and 19th-century collections near the ground floor to the cutting edge of contemporary art on the upper levels.
Lower level galleries have been dedicated specifically to African art, photography, works on paper, and the works-on-paper study center.
Renzo Piano's design of the new Wieland Pavilion and the Anne Cox Chambers Wing features a special roof system of 1,000 light scoops that capture northern light and filter it into the skyway galleries.
The Wieland Pavilion houses part of the Museum's modern and contemporary collection and the Anne Cox Chambers Wing features special collections.
For those in the family who love art, this is the place to be inspired!
Don't miss the fun events they host across the year either, including Toddler Tuesdays FREE with admission, where those little ones can explore a new theme each month with related artworks, stories, tours and art projects!
For those older kids the High Museum of Art also hosts Teen Nights where they are introduced to the museum, as well as art techniques, and of course other teens!
