Great Bridge Lock Park 4.2 (reviews)

Who doesn't love going to the park? It's great to get out when it's amazing weather, and it's always great to see those kids use up all of that endless energy!

Great Bridge Lock Park is a lovely, 19-acre patch of nature within Chesapeake. It's a place where you can really go and just have that good old fashioned family park time. 

Not only is there space for kids to run around, but there are activities that you can do with the whole family. There is a two-lane boat ramp so you can take the boat out for a few hours and enjoy the water, and there are extensive fishing and crabbing areas too.

Why not make a day of it and take some lunch, and just enjoy your time together. There are picnic shelters with grills, so just load up, and cook up a storm!

When kids aren't running around, they can climb, slide, zoom and hide on the playground. There is also a play area for them too.

If you want a bit more of an adventure, they have a kayak and canoe launch which is ADA accessible, so everyone can have a great time!

Surrounded by a canal on one side, and a river on the other, Great Bridge Lock Park is a lovely way to spend the day out enjoying the Virginia nature.
