Choo Choo! All aboard, it’s time to have a VERY fun day out with the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, that will take you back in time to the 1920s! History and fun? Sounds great!
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad is a super fun way to spend the day with the family. Located in historic downtown Grapevine, here you can take a number of different trips in the authentic 1920s Victorian coach, taking you along the historic Cotton Belt Route from Grapevine, all the way down to Fort Worth Stockyards!
Relax, settle in, and enjoy the beautifully restored coaches that are pulled by two vintage locomotives. You might encounters Puffy, the 1896 steam locomotive that also just happens to be the oldest continuously operating steam engine in the South – pretty cool, huh!?
Or you might enjoy Vinny, a 1953 GP-7 diesel. Both are just as wonderful!
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad hosts special family-friendly events throughout the year, so make sure you put them in your diary! You might be spending the day with Thomas The Tank Engine, or celebrating that seasonal cheer with the North Pole Express.
Special events sell out quickly so get in quick!
Parents will love the Jazz Wine Train in spring, where you can be serenaded by live jazz music as you take in the sights, and adults can really get into the spirit of the seasons with special events for those over 21 years like the St. Patrick’s Day themed “Kiss Me I’m Irish Express” and Witches Brew Train for Halloween!
You might just love it so much that you’ll be back for a very merry train adventure aboard the Christmas Wine Train in winter!
A step back in time for the whole family, where you can really use those imaginations and pretend you really are in the 1920s! A fun day out where kids can learn a bit of history at the same time – not a bad day out in Texas!
Choo Choo! All aboard…the train’s leaving, kids!
