The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery looks at the history of science, and the science of history using an interactive and engaging museum experiences where kids can learn and have a great time.
There is over 47,000 square feet of creative and hands-on exhibits for kids to get lost in!
Ever seen a plesiosaur? Ever seen one that is 42 foot long!? You can come face to face with an Ice Age bison in the main gallery, as well as trying your hand at being a super cool rock star in the Music Garage. Here you can jam with a friend on a variety of instruments, as well as learning about different music genres! You can even book the space for a recording session and get your song emailed to you at the end of it!
There is also a great Free Zone, because it's....FREE! This is an area of the museum that you don't need to buy an admission ticket for. You can get to know the diverse range of the city's natural area, listen to the beautiful restored grand piano from the 1904 St. Louis World Fair, and check out the panoramic views on the observation deck!
They also have a host of programs specifically designed for different age groups and class levels so you can indulge in your scientific and historical passions outside of the classroom!
