Long Beach has an amazing beach, and amazing things to do - and would you believe it that one of them is an amazing park with a nature center!
That's right! El Dorado Regional Park is a HUGE park area filled with a host of family fun activities. A great way to relax, enjoy the sun, or get active together!
Why not bring the bikes down for the day and enjoy over 4 miles of paved bike trails! Certainly is a great way to spend time as a family, AND work up that appetite for lunch! Speaking of lunch, why not pack a picnic and enjoy the BBQ grills they have at the park. Nothing like enjoying a healthy family lunch under that Californian sun!
Fishing? Yes please! You'll be pleased to know that if fishing is your thing, El Dorado Regional Park have 2 fully stocked fishing lakes for you to sit back and try and catch something. Bear in mind that you do need a license for anyone over 16 years.
A model sailboat area...AND a model aircraft flying area...in a park? Get out of town! But it's true!
The park has an informative Nature Center where you can spend time checking out some cool facts about the area - and makes for a great learning experience!
Those active kids (if they haven't run out of energy yet!) will have a great time on the playgrounds, where they can run, crawl, climb and play, and for those parents who want to stay active too - there are 12 stations in their physical fitness course! Pretty cool!
With train rides and pedal boat rentals too....you can't beat some outdoor fun in California, so head down to El Dorado Regional Park and have a great time!
