About this activity
ROAR....that rumble can only mean one thing....the T-Rex is coming! Eccles Dinosaur Park is a GREAT place for kids to spend the day out with the family. It's exciting, fascinating, and they can learn all about these amazing prehistoric creatures that once roamed the earth all those millions of years ago.
The park has over 100 sculptures, which are all realistic and full sized, as they are based on actual fossil skeletons. Pretty incredible!
These crazy creatures are also very lifelike because they move - Yep! Brought to life by robotics, as well as state of the art sound systems giving them those fierce sounds, it will feel like you are actually back in the Jurassic period walking with these huge creatures from the past!
The park, located in Utah, is also true to the state, and all species indigenous to Utah are always a special feature at Eccles Dinosaur Park. And of course, one of the most popular exhibits is always that infamous T-Rex, with it's huge sharp teeth (and quite teenie arms!)
To add to your family day out experience, there is also an Education Center at the park where kids of all ages are more than welcome to spend a few hours learning more about the dinosaurs. There are exhibits, art, books and lessons which will teach them everything they need to know!
The park often hold events too, like Dino Day Camp, and Adventures In Art, so keep an eye out for those to make sure you don’t miss out on your favorites!

The park is found at 1544 East Park Blvd in Ogden. Take I-15 exit 344 and about 5 miles east you'll be on 12th street. Follow the signs to Dinosaur Park.

Eccles Dinosaur Park FAQ’s
There is the very Cretaceous Corner Cafe which has a great menu for kids to snack up on! The cafe is closed for fall and winter.
Why not have your birthday party surrounded by dinosaurs - what an incredible way to celebrate with your friends! There are add-ons to your party package so you can make it exactly how you would like it!
The Adventure Shop is the place you want to be for all your dino goods! From toys, puzzles to games, and of course books (there is a special reading corner too), there is something fun for everyone to take home!
An amazing place for kids to visit! As well as the education center, there are a number of programs and activities for you to experience. Just call or email if you want to know more information, or reserve your school group.
The cafe is super healthy, with salads, made to order sandwiches and great healthy alternatives for kids.
The parking is handicap accessible.
Unfortunately no pets are allowed in the park, and no glass containers.
