What is there to do?

Kids, get ready for a day of PLAY because we're off to the Discovery Center Museum in Rockford!

Located on the Riverfront Museum Park campus in downtown Rockford, the Discovery Center Museum is great for a FULL day of play, with over 300 exciting hands-on exhibits spread across two-floors.

Fancy soaring through the sky in a jet, before heading out to explore the Universe? You can at the Discovery Center Museum!

Perhaps kids would like to forecast the weather in a super cool television studio, or show off those mad skills on the dance floor?

Science IS fun when you learn how to use your body to generate electricity, or creative kids can create a masterpiece in the Art Studio. There's nothing wrong with getting those fingers messy!

There are exhibits where kids can use logic and problem solving, key for developing those skills, or there's the Tot Spot for those little ones with a host of age appropriate fun, including their very own train to conduct!

Don't forget to head out in the museum's backyard, where you can explore Rock River Discovery Park - a giant, multi-level science park with a hands-on twist! There's a two-story maze AND you can search for dinosaur fossils and make a cool SPLASH in the water play area!

The museum also hosts traveling exhibits, special events and programs throughout the year too!
