The Denver Art Museum has been giving families amazing and creative days out since all the way back to 1893 - that's a lot of memories created!
Filled with nearly 70,000 works of art from around the world, the Denver Art Museum is a great way to introduce kids to that wonderful world of art. They can admire the colors and textures of paintings and sculptures from Europe, and feel inspired by artworks from Africa and American.
They can even learn about history and cultures from the world-famous American Indian art collection, as well as the Spanish Colonial art, and the pre-Columbian designs and textiles. It really brings the whole world of art together in one place!
One thing the Denver Art Museum prides itself on, is that it's a very family friendly place to visit! Not only are there lots of art works to explore, they offer a number of ways for parents and kids to relax, and have fun. They have the Just For Fun Family Center, where they feature activities inspired by Asian Art, or you can trek through the galleries with the Family Backpacks. These are full with games, puzzles, and art marking supplies!
As you walk around you can stop by the Creative Corners, where kids can enjoy discovery and imaginative play, and take part in activities such as making a treasure chest and piecing together portraits!
We haven't even begun to tell you Kids Corner where kids can try on costumes from around the world, and Gallery Games filled with games to inspire art education.
So are you ready to get inspired by that wonderful world of art, at the Denver Art Museum? We sure are!
