About Childrens Discovery Museum
The Children's Discovery Museum of Illinois offers 3 floors full of interactive experiment and hands on learning experiences designed to reinforce love of thought and exploration! All of the exhibits within the discovery museum were conceived with children in mind, their learning and their development. They are a celebration of exploration and discovery, filled with innovated and richly layered cognitive experiences for all kids, from toddlers to pre-teens!
Features include a scientific zone with games on physical principles, a farm area where kids can learn all about life on a working farm, and even a recycling exhibition that teaches kids the invaluable lesson of recycling!
Kids can also visit several theatres and even an art studio. The Healthy Kids Gallery also features loads of ways to approach nutrition and wellness as kids learn about healthy eating and their bodies!
Don't miss a chance to see their newest exhibition too, ImagineAir! Here families can experience air using ALL of their senses of touch, sight and sound whilst experimenting with the phenomena of air. You'll be blown away with what there is to discover!

Teachers corner
They love having students! Bring your group to the Children's Discovery Museum to explore all three floors of exhibits at your own pace. On arrival, every group receives a brief orientation by a Museum staff person. Make sure you book at least 3 weeks in advance
