This fun and nature filled museum has a number of fun exhibits and programs perfect for those kids aged 3 to 7, but kids of other ages may enjoy it too.
The Charlotte Nature Museum has nature waiting behind every corner! Those little ones will LOVE to explore the museum, and check out the live animals, live shows, and those interactive and hands-on demonstration.
The exhibits are filled with creatures great and small, and encounters with nature. If you want to get out into a 100 year old forest, then just head to the Paw Paw Nature Trail, where the forest is alive with wildlife! Keep an eye out for those sneaky barn owls too!
The Big Backyard is a great place for kids to really embrace playing in nature, where they can splash through a stream, or climb through secret tunnels. The world of underground is waiting for them!
More of a creepy crawly kind of family? Then Insect Alley is your thing! Kids can enter a space where they might spy like a fly, or see what they would look like if they had the body of a bug! How crazy is that!
Of course, a popular exhibit at the Charlotte Nature Museum is the Butterfly Pavilion. Here, kids can roam around all of the free-flying butterflies, and get up close to these colorful creatures when they land on a nearby flower.
