Did you know that the Central Washington Agricultural Museum is the LARGESET agricultural museum in the entire Pacific Northwest? That's pretty amazing isn't it? This popular museum uses 15 acres of open air displays, including 29 covered buildings, to provide insight into the lives of early Washington settlers. It's outdoor fun, history and plenty of tractors all rolled into one!
In fact, there are over 150 antique tractors that the kids can see up close, as well as over 1000 pieces of historic machinery that support the exhibits showcasing farm life over the last 100 years.
Kids can visit a 1908 homestead, so they can really use those imaginations on what life was like in another generation, as well as the Lindeman Building that displays several areas of early pioneer life including a tack shop, vintage gas station, woodsmith shop, early American bank and even a general store!
You can see the Amos cabin built back in 1917, and an incredible collection of over 3,000 beautifully restored hand tools!
Kids will be stunned by the size of horse drawn and vintage farm machinery, with huge engines like hop and pea pickers.
Everything has information provided on it so it's potentially a huge learning experience.
A fascinating learning experience that takes the family back through the history books, and ensures kids walk away with an appreciation of those who shaped American history!
