Castle Air Museum represents history in a way the whole family can share with this museum's awe-inspiring majestic warbirds. Peek into the past as you visit their impressive collection of over seventy restored vintage military aircraft, which kids can see up close in person! The aircraft range from pre-WWII right through to present day fighters, so it's not only an educational experience in aviation, but also history.
Throughout the Castle Air Museum, the learning continues with the fascinating collection of wartime memorabilia, as well as uniforms, historic photos, and even personal military artifacts from over the last 100 years.
Kids can use their imaginations as they view all of the collections, and start to understand who the real people were behind the uniforms, the stories, and the photos.
Want to know something else special about this popular air museum? It is home to the most complete lineage of Bomber Aircraft on the West Coast dating from pre-WWII to the end of the Cold War. That's nearly 70 years!
But it's the actual collection of vintage aircraft that really impress kids. To stand under the wing of the Convair RB-36H Peacemaker or the Boeing B-52, you can imagine the sky around the bombers filled with enemy fighters!
Then there's the B-25 Mitchell, as well as a B-17, B-24, and a Avro Vulcan. Set across 11 acres, you might want to leave a few hours to take it all in!
An amazing trip through the history books for the entire family.
