A visit to the Cappon House in Holland is like a step back in time! Built in 1874, the property was the home of Holland's first mayor and local tannery proprietor - Isaac Cappon - the property is now partially restored to how it looks in 1900, and you can visit to learn all about the Cappon family and history!
Kids, use those imaginations as you enter the 19th century world of a Dutch immigrant who became very wealthy and influential within the community. During your tour, you can still see the original furnishings and personal belongings that echo the daily life of the Cappon family.
Why read history books when you can actually VISIT history in real life, and see for yourself! Can you just imagine what life was like? Pretty different to life today we imagine!
A visit here is great to pair up with a visit to Settlers House, just five doors away.
Are you ready to step back in time kids?
