We all know about money, and we all use money, and everyone has a different amount of money, but do you know where it actually comes from?
If not, you can find out with a tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington DC!
The Bureau and it's Visitor Center are a great place to learn all about US paper currency, learning about how it gets printed, cut, and sorted, as well as inspected for defects. One of the highlights of the tour is when you can walk along the gallery and see millions of dollars bring printed below on the production floor!
This 40 minute experience is free (yay!) and includes and introductory film as well as a gallery tour of the production process. The Visitor Center is also a great place to explore when at the BEP, as there are exhibits that continue your learning experience and great for kids.
