Biltmore Estate is set on a HUGE 8,000 acres, and features a 250 room chateau, built by George Vanderbilt. It's as impressive today as it would have been over a century ago when it was first built.
During your visit, you can enjoy a self-guided tour of the house, as well as the stunning gardens all around it. Have you heard of landscape architect Frederick Law? If you haven't - you will certainly know who he is after your visit!
The self-guided your takes you on a marked route, and you will find knowledgeable guides along the way who can help answer any questions you may have! The tour will take between 90 minutes and 2 hours, but of course you're on your own pace, which is a great way to be seeing a historic property with kids.
