The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful 600-acre urban wildlife refuge and in fact, they are one of the largest Wildlife Rehabilitation Sites in the state!

The sanctuary also offers free admission, and runs via donations, so even more of a great reason to visit!

During your time at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, the family will be able to enjoy live animal exhibits, as well as educational displays so kids can learn all about what they are seeing.

For those active families, make sure you take those hiking shoes! There are miles of hiking and skiing trails, and along the way, not only are you enjoying the fresh Wisconsin air, but you might just come across some amazing wildlife viewing opportunities too!

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is of course, a sanctuary, which means they are there to rescue, and rehabilitate injured and orphaned animals. In fact, they care for more than 4,500 orphaned and injured animals annually.

If you enjoy fishing with the family, there are opportunities for catch and release fishing within the park, and there are some fun opportunities for kids too!
