Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th, 1809 in a humble log cabin in Hodgenville, Kentucky.
Whilst the cabin was destroyed even before his death, today, visitors can still visit the site of the cabin at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Historic Site.
It's a pretty fascinating day out for the family and kids!

Also at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Historic Site you can find a symbolic birth cabin, that represents the actual cabin that Lincoln began his life in.
