The Deep aquarium in Kingston-Upon-Hull is a breathtaking tropical lagoon. Get up close with creatures of the sea in our fun discovery sessions and see fish that walk on land and the underwater reef.

The Deep is an award-winning aquarium in Hull, with a wide range of activities and amenities that are sure to delight visitors of all ages.

One of the things that makes it so special is its incredible collection of marine life. Visitors can explore the aquarium's many tanks and exhibits, which are home to a wide variety of different species, from sharks and rays to seahorses and jellyfish. The Deep also features a number of interactive exhibits and educational resources, making it a great destination for families looking to learn more about the ocean and its inhabitants.

Marvel at amazing marine life including magnificent sharks & rays, the UK’s only pair of Green sawfish, a colony of Gentoo penguins, Loggerhead sea turtles & more.

But there's more! The Deep also features a variety of different activities and events, such as behind-the-scenes tours, animal encounters and feedings, and even a 4D cinema experience that takes visitors on an underwater adventure.

To find The Deep, head towards the city of Kingston-Upon-Hull and follow the signs for the A63. The Deep is located on the outskirts of the city, just off the A63. There is free parking available on site.

The Deep FAQ’s

Families with young children will be pleased to know that there are baby changing facilities available, as well as a small play area for children.
The Deep offers a warming station for baby food. Please ask staff should you need additional help.

When it comes to food, visitors will be pleased to know that there is a café on-site, which serves a range of delicious homemade cakes, sandwiches, and hot drinks. The café is open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm

During term time (Monday to Friday) The Deep can get quite busy with school groups, so if you would like a less busy environment, please arrive after 2pm when the school children have gone home.

For those looking to take a piece of The Deep home with them, there is a gift shop on site that sells a variety of souvenirs, including postcards, books, and crafts.
