About this activity

Studland Beach and Nature Reserve, located in the picturesque county of Dorset, is a true gem of the UK's south coast. This stunning destination boasts four miles of pristine golden sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and an abundance of wildlife, making it the perfect spot for families to enjoy a fun-filled day out.

The first thing you'll notice when you arrive at Studland Beach is the sheer beauty of the place. With views stretching out across the English Channel, this beach is a feast for the eyes. But it's not just the views that make Studland so special. The beach itself is one of the best in the UK, with plenty of space for families to spread out and relax. The sand is soft and perfect for building sandcastles, while the water is clear and refreshing for swimming.

But Studland Beach isn't just a place to sunbathe and swim. It's also a nature lover's paradise. The beach is part of the wider Studland Nature Reserve, which covers over 1000 acres of heathland, dunes, and woodland. The reserve is home to a vast array of wildlife, including rare birds, reptiles, and mammals. It's a great place for families to get up close and personal with nature, whether that's through birdwatching, bug hunting, or simply exploring the wildflower meadows.
