Salcey Forest is an oasis of nature and history close to the centre of Northamptonshire. The stunning woodland has many miles of old wood banks, building remains and trees. This includes oaks over six hundred years old and veteran oaks with rare wildlife habitats. Come with your family and friends and see what wildlife you can spot on your visit!
As well as their numerous stunning walking trails, Salcey Forest have a family cycling trail and a fun adventure play area! Feel free to visit the onsite café after your active fun to have delicious homemade meals and cakes in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
As if that wasn't enough, in 2023 Salcey Forest are opening a new visitor space called The Glade. As well as planting new trees, shrubs and wildflowers here, they plan to install a covered activity space and a new winding, all-ability path. But the best bit about this news is they plan to restore the popular Elephant Bridge, make a giant Gruffalo sculpture, and keep working with Go Ape to create a Tree Top Junior course. So what are you waiting for? Head on down to Salcey Forest to make memories with your friends and family and see some stunning views.
