Let the breeze off vast Lake Diefenbaker clear your mind and invigorate your body at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park. This ruggedly beautiful park of steep hills, razorback ridges, wooded ravines and native prairie celebrates an historic crossing on the South Saskatchewan River first used by generations of Indian and Métis bison hunters. Later, it became the site of a steamboat landing and ferry crossing that serviced traffic on the historic Battleford Trail.
The park is a great area to be explored by all ages and it's great for families too! There are lots of fishing, sunbathing and hiking opportunities with lots of interpretive trails and historic sites to explore, incluind Goodwin House. The beach is a great area to relax after a hot day, with picnic areas and tables all around to spend some time with the family.
If you wanted to extend your trip then camping is available from May long weekend to Labour Day, with modern washrooms, laundry facilities and free firewood available for you. You can also head to the groceries store to pick uo the essentials, with casual dining and fast food areas available for a quick snack!
