Danoja Zho Cultural Centre is the gateway to Tr ondë ek Hwech in heritage. Danoja Zho is open in the Summer with visitor programs and activities throughout the season. From May to September, they provide guided tours of the Hammerstone Gallery to share their perspective on the gold rush era. Each summer the Gathering Room hosts a new exhibition that reflects the vibrant and rich culture. Visitors can share in theirpride by participating in the river walk tours, topical displays, art shows and a wide variety of film presentations.
Learn about the strength and resilience of the nation and the events that shaped their story in the last one hundred years. The exhibits shares history, photographs, artifacts and cultural objects too. The exhibition Rototed in the Land threads new and old concepts which helps visitors to bring a deeper understadning of the relationship to the natural world around us.
There a gift shop on site which sells lots of hand-crafted items that feature the work of Yoken and northern First Nation sewers. As well as speciality tea, cards and more. The inspiring 14 minute film was made locally and shown at the centre. There are vibrant images of the territory and a real community spirit that is shown on film.
