Where would we be without aircraft today? Not travelling very far, we imagine! But, aviation had to start somewhere, and at the Canadian Museum of Flight, you can learn all about the fascinating British Columbian aviation history, and even the future!
The museum has an incredible collection of aircraft and artifacts that illustrate the long involvement that the region has had with aviation. If kids love planes, they will love the impressive aircraft on display!
Kids can come face to face with replicas of WWI aircraft, experience a Waco biplane from the 1930s, and even see a 1942 Hampden bomber.
The collection even moves into the jet age, where kids can see a Vampire fighter, and the needle-nosed Lockheed Starfighter. There is also the all-Canadian designed and built CF-100. Pretty impressive!
Have you ever wanted to see a de Havilland Tiger Moth, or a Nelson Dragonfly? You can at the Canadian Aviation Museum!
It's not just the huge aircraft that are on display at the museum either. Kids can see a range of artifacts dotted around the museum, from gliders, ejection seats, model aircraft, navigation equipment, and even an inter guided missle. Pretty impressive!
So, for all things Canadian, all things aviation and all things pretty awesome, head on over to this Canadian Aviation Museum and see history come to life!
