The AGM (Art Gallery of Mississauga) is over 3000 square feet divided into four gallery spaces. The Main and Community galleries are the largest. They also hold outdoor sculpture exhibitions, screenings and interactive programmes seasonally for the whole family.
The gallery is not for profit and was founded in 1987. The gallery presents a changing calendar of contemporary and engaging exhibitions featuring regional, national and international artists. they also run a number of workshops throughout the year, inspiring people to use art as a way of expressing. One of which is a clay workshop, where you get to make decorative and seasonal ornaments using clay, glazes and textures. You'll learn how to make unique pieces by personalising them which will create special gifts or lovely decorations to decorate your home.
They also run a variety of engagement sessions. One of which is the border crossings stories, which is a video initiative. The objective is to table community members to create a catalogie of their border corssing stories and experiences, which helps connect the lives across the community. It'll also present as a great educational experience for young people to get involved with!
